What We Offer

Why The Need

  • In Grand Rapids, 16.8% of individuals aged 5 and over speak a language other than English at home, highlighting the growing demand for language services. This program addresses the need for trained interpreters to support diverse populations in healthcare, social services, legal, and community settings.

  • This program ensures that non-English-speaking individuals have access to essential services by training local bilingual individuals to serve as interpreters. It bridges communication gaps, allowing individuals to experience full human expression and access services they need for a healthy life.

  • We will train bilingual and multilingual individuals to become Qualified Interpreters, providing industry-recognized qualifications that enhance career prospects and enable participants to serve the community effectively.

  • In addition to language training, we offer resources to take CCHI certificate test. Participants will receive soft skills development, interview preparation, job placement assistance, and post-training support to ensure long-term success goes here

  • Graduates will receive job placement support with local employers in healthcare, social services, education, and other sectors where language services are essential.
